Abstract submission for EEBA 2016 is open!
Abstract submissions on all aspects of eye banking are welcome, although we have identified a number of topics of special interest which we would particularly like to see featured at EEBA 2016:
• How many endothelial cells are necessary to release a graft for PK,
DSAEK, and DMEK?
• What is the acceptable post-mortem interval for performing a
serology / NAT test for hepatitis / HIV?
• Quality parameters for anterior lamellar grafts: Which can be accepted
and which cannot?
• Promotion of best practice for corneal donation - global & national
perspectives.
• Exchange of tissue for ocular surgery within the EU and globally:
What do competent authorities require?
• Tissue preparation in the eye bank: Experience, guidelines and
standards.
• EEBA and EU: Summary of participation in guidelines and scientific
committees etc.
• Corneal epithelial transplantation in corneal and expanded limbal cell
transplants: Does the donor epithelium persist?
• Eye Banks & Regenerative Medicine.
• Endothelial transplant perspectives: Will Eye Banks be redundant
20 years from now?
